SIMIKOT KAILASH TOUR
The 6 Days Trek from Simikot (West Nepal) to Taklakot is an alternative to Western Tibet by vehicle. The Trip begins with flight to Simikot from where a 6 days trekking with a Government appointed Liason Officer is made to the Tibetan Boarder. At Sher the Tibetan guide awaits with the 4-WDs for the journey to Lake Manasarovar. After circumbulation of Mount Kailash, you exit via Zhangmu into Nepal.
ITINERARY
Day 01 : Fly Kathmandu - Nepalgunj. O/nt at Hotel Batika.
Day 02 : Fly to Simikot. The trek staff will prepare the gears, pack food and local porters / mules for the trek upto the Tibetan Boarder. Camp.
Day 03 : Trek to Darapani. Camp.
Day 04 : Trek to Kermi. Camp.
Day 05 : Trek to Yalbang. Camp.
Day 06 : Trek to Tumkot. Camp.
Day 07 : Trek to Yari. Camp.
Day 08 : Trek to Hilsa over the Nara La Pass. Camp.
Day 09 : Trek to Sher. Meet Tibetan Guide & proceed to Taklakot. Camp.
Day 10 : Drive to Lake Manasarovar. Camp.
Day 11 : AM: Excursion of Lake Manasarovar PM: Drive to Tarboche. Prepare for Kailash Parikarma. Camp.
Day 12/13/14 : KAILASH PARIKARMA
Day 15 : Drive to Paryang. Camp.
Day 16 : Drive to Saga. Camp.
Day 17 : Drive to Nyalamu. O/nt at Guesthouse.
Day 18 : Exit to Kathmandu.
Accommodation on twin sharing & BB basis during tour as per hotel plan, Full board meals during trek, English speaking Tibetan Guide, Sherpa staff, Camping equipment ( Two-men tents, mattress, dining / kitchen / toilet tents ), Japanese landcruiser/s (4WD)+ Support truck, Yaks & Yak-men for porterage during Parikarma, Sightseeing Tours, Monastery entrance fees, Gamow Bag, Oxygen, Travel Permit, Kailash Permit & Tibet / China Visa fee.
Nepal re-entry visa fee, Travel Insurance, Extra cost in the event of landslide for hiring porterage or additional transportation ($10 - $15), approx. Evacuation cost and expenses of personal nature.
