An in depth expedition into this fabled realm begins with a spectacular flight across the Himalayas from Kathmandu to the Tibetan Plateau. Visiting monasteries and pilgrimage sites our journey leads to Lhasa, with its dominating Potala Palace. Returning Overland to Kathmandu the scenery of vast valleys deep lakes of aqua blue will take your breath away.
ITINERARY
Day 01 : Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa. Transfer to Tsetang. Later in the afternoon visit The Yambhulakhang, Tibet's first castle and Cha - Duk Monastery. O/nt at Hotel Tsetang.
Day 02 : Cross the Brahmaputra on a ferry to explore the SAMYE MONASTERY. Proceed to Lhasa for O/nt.
Day 03 / 04 : LHASA SIGHTSEEING TOUR. Visit Potala & Norbulingka Palace, Drepung & Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar. O/nts at Hotel in Lhasa.
Day 05 : Drive to Gyantse via Lake Yamdrok - Tso enroute. O/nt at Hotel Gyantse.
Day 06 : Drive to Shigatse visiting Shalu Monastery enroute. O/nt at Hotel Shigatse.
Day 07 : Sightseeing tour of Tashilunpo Monastery and the free market in Shigatse. O/nt at Hotel Shigatse.
Day 08 : Drive to Sakya. Explore the Sakya Monastery. O/nt at Guesthouse.
Day 09 : Drive to Tingri to view the Himalayas including Everest. O/nt at Guesthouse.
Day 10 : Drive to Zhangmu stopping at Nyalamu. Time permitting, visit the Milarepa's Cave. O/nt at Hotel Zhangmu.
Day 11 : Drive to Kathmandu.
