Travel:

Cost:
The cost of the trip includes all specialized camping equipment (see personal equipment list) meals and accommodation during the trip, permits, porters, local transport and internal flights to and from Kathmandu. It does not include personal expenses, alcohol, candy, soft drinks, meals or accommodation when staying in Kathmandu or Pokhara
Age:
Age is an attitude and not a problem, but we do require that group members be at least 18 years old.
Insurance:
expedition members are responsible for having their own travel insurance including helicopter evacuation.
Vaccinations:
Nepal has no official vaccination requirements for entry. However we recommend that you visit a doctor for the latest recommendations and protect yourself accordingly.
Visa:
Visa can be obtained at Tribhuvan International Airport upon arrival. You will need 2 passport size photograph.
Currency:
The best currency to have is US Dollars in travelers cheques, cash and/or credit cards. American Express, MasterCard and Visa are all accepted in Nepal.
Sleeping bag should be packed in a waterproof bag.
Allow a sensible amount of time in Kathmandu at the end of your travels to allow for any travelling delays prior to your International flight ? See Kathmandu at the end of your visit to Nepal.
Travel with any valuable items on your body - including your trekking permit.
Empty your rucksack side pouches whilst travelling on local transport. Purchase a zipped bag to carry your pack in, especially if you are planning to do future travel on local transport.
Lugols Iodine Solution kills most water borne bugs and its use saves you money and avoids unnecessary pollution with plastic water bottles. (Available in KTM)
Trousers/long shorts of a loose fitting and light synthetic material are best. Please respect the local customs.
Whilst on the trails, if an animal carrying loads comes past you, ensure you stand on the inside of the trail so you don't get forced off the trail.
Respect all religious sights and only enter if you are clear on the customs used by the occupant’s. i.e. removing shoes, showing courtesy and leaving a donation.
Do not purchase any item of religious or historical content in the mountains - It is illegal.
Buddhist Mani walls and Chortens should be passed on the left side (CLOCKWISE)
Take time to look after the well being of your employees - Porters etc. It is standard practice to tip.
