MAKALU BASE CAMP TREK

This is an outstanding trek into eastern Nepal and a journey to one of the truly massive eight thousand-meter peaks. The trek to Makalu Base Camp visits one of the most remote and unfrequented areas of the Himalayas. The long trek and unspoiled terrain makes this trek a classic in its own. A reasonable level of fitness is a prerequisite as the trek is strenuous and reaches an altitude of 5000m. We start this trek by taking a mountain flight to the remote airstrip of Tumlingtar, where you will meet your Surdar, and team of Sherpas for the journey ahead.
