The Land of Mt. Everest and Birth Place of Lord Buddha!!

Nepal offers a wide range of geographical diversity; an incomparable blend of high mountains and rich cultures. Nepal embrace the central Himalayan range, 1310 magnificent peaks over 6000 meters including eight of the world's highest 14 peaks of 8000 meters, rushing river, rolling terraced hills; lush, steamy tropics and high altitude plains reminiscent of Tibet. Capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu Valley, a fertile green bowl set in the midst of the Himalayan foothills, is an oasis of magnificent art and the home of an ancient and sophisticated culture. It's a blend of different ethnic groups, with a mosaic of cultures.
 
This charming country presents a very rich culture preserved and maintained intact for centuries by its beautiful people. Nepal is the birthplace of "Lord Buddha" who enlightened the entire world with his messages of universal peace, compassion and humanity.
 
Nepal is a haven for adventure in the Himalaya and it has drawn hundreds of Expeditions from all over the world to conquer its high mountains. Since the historic conquest of Mt. Everest, the highest mountain on earth. Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzin Norgay Sherpa in the early 50's Nepal's mountain have been scaled again and again by expedition from all over the world.

Political system: Multiparty Democracy with constitution monarchy.
Religion: Nepal enjoys the distinction of being the only Hindu Kingdom in the world. However, there is harmonious blending of Hinduism and Buddhism and in some areas still elements of tribal religions.
People: Nepal has more than 61 ethnic groups and 70 spoken languages.
Nepal has geographically 3 major regions:
 
Himalayan Region:
The altitude of this region ranges between 4877 m to 8848m. It includes eight of the 14 highest summits in the world, which exceed altitude of 8848 m including Mt. Everest , Annapurna , Dhawalagiri and others. Himalayan range makes up northern border of the country and represents 16% of the total land of Nepal . Sparse vegetation is found up to 4500m. Some of Nepal 's most beautiful animal and plant life are also found here. Although rare, the snow leopard and Danphe bird are found here. The people in this region produce and sell yak cheese besides working as porters and guides. Many also trade with Tibet and travel across the border to sell their goods.
Middle Hill Region:
This region accounts for about 65 percent of the total land of Nepal . It is formed by the Mahabharat range that soars from 500m up to 4877m and the lower Churia range including Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. During the summer the temperature reaches an average 32 degrees Celsius. Winters are cold, the temperature reaches 1 degree Celsius sometimes. The eastern part of this region receive more rainfalls because of the monsoon clouds coming from the southeast. The rivers in the west, do not receive much rainfall, and are dependent upon melted snow that flows down from the Himalaya. Different kind of birds and wildlife are found here. The people in the region have gained from the growth in the tourism industry.
Terai Region:
The lowland Terai occupies about 17 percent of the total land area of the country. It provides excellent farming lands. The average elevation of these flatlands is 65 to 500m. Above sea level. Sub-tropical forest areas, marshes and wildlife, which include the Royal Bengal Tiger, one horned rhinoceros and the gharial crocodile, are found the area.
 The only country in the earth boasting

The Lumbini, is the birth place of Lord Buddha " The light of Asia."

The Kathmandu, the capital city, with as many idols as men, and as many temples as houses.
The country with eight highest peak in the world.
The only Hindu kingdom in the world.
